Road to Recovery - Cancer patients from our community need your help to get to their medical treatments and appointments.  This service is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and they need kind people to volunteer their time and use their own cars to drive patients to and from their appointments.  Schedules are very flexible.  For more information, please call Marion Stuart who is with the American Cancer Society at 941-745-1214 ext. 5803.

Art is back at PUMC - Free art demonstrations for youth and adults.  Saturday July 10th, 2010 Polly Tetrault will be leading a class on pastel painting and Saturday August 14th, 2010 Polly Boston will be leading a class on scratch art.  All classes will be from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM in Room 125/126.  If you missed out on this wonderful opportunity when it was offered previously, please reserve your seat by calling the office at 941-776-1539.

Blood Drive - Sunday July 11th, 2010 from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM.  All lifesaving donors will receive flip-flops, wellness checkup and cholesterol screening.  A sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in the Gathering Place.

Disaster Readiness - Sunday July 11th, 2010.  In the event of a disaster in our area we will need to have some supplies on hand to assist others until outside help can arrive.  Please bring these items each Sunday and place them in the carts located in the Gathering Place.  This Sunday's items are baby products e.g., diapers, formula mix, soy milk, huggable toys etc.  Check back weekly as the items needed change every Sunday.

Elsenheimer Farewell Party - Sunday July 18th, 2010 after the 11:00 AM service.  Please join us as we say 'Goodbye' to the Elsenheimers.  Bring your favorite dish or just come and enjoy the food as we eat together and bid Godspeed to the family, who has been a very important part of our church over the past years, as they enter the next season in their lives.  Be thinking about any special memory or antidote you would like to share about the Elsenheimers as we prepare to 'roast' the family!

Choir Robe Fundraiser - The choir will be creating a cookbook as a fundraiser to purchase new choir robes.  You will be the authors.  We will select, sample, compile and publish the cookbook.  This is your opportunity to present your culinary favorites.  Please email your favorite recipe to pumcrecipes@hotmail.com or send them through the U.S. mail to the church office at P.O. Box 375 Parrish, Fl. 34219.  You may also place them in the offering plates during the Sunday services.  We are requesting that all recipes are submitted by 7/31/2010.  Christmas isn't that far away so this could be a loving and fun gift choice.
