Core Values

The Core Values of any group of people are that group’s highest basic beliefs. Core Values are the primary things we value as a church and they drive our decisions. They are Biblical, God-Revealed and limited to give clear direction.

The Core Values of Parrish United Methodist Church

•  Scripture-Based – We believe that the Bible is God’s Word. Everything we do flows from His Word. Timothy 3:16-17
• Christ-Centered – Everything we do is centered on giving glory to Jesus. Galatians 2:20
• Integrity – We honor God and others when our words and actions are consistent and are guided by Scripture. Titus 2:7
• Healthy Relationships – We are committed to providing an environment that nurtures healthy Christian relationships. John 13:34
• Witness – We promote an active Christian witness to the work of Christ’s Life-Changing Holy Spirit. Acts 1:8
• Generous Giving – We give generously through our time, talent, and treasure. Matthew 6:21, 25:14-30
• Spiritual Gifts – We foster the discernment, development and deployment of the Spiritual Gifts that God gives every believer. Romans 12, Corinthians 12
• Marriage and Family – We provide an environment that nurtures healthy Christian growth in families and marriages. Ephesians 5:21-6:4
